Cotton

Cotton is considered the main crop not only among the cellulosic crops, but also among the various crops that are the raw materials used in the industries of yarns and fabrics. Egyptian cotton is the best type of cotton, which is called “long staple cotton” and is therefore exported to all countries around the world. After the cotton is harvested and sorted, it is pressed into bags and sent to the gin to separate the staple from the seed, and then the ginned cotton is pressed into bales. As for the seeds, a part is taken from them for sowing in the next year, and the rest is sent to the press, where the oil known as the seed oil or the French oil is extracted from it. This oil is used in food and in the manufacture of soap. The mother of the pomace left over from pressing the seeds is used as food for livestock.

Arabic Gum

Arabic Gum (Sengalia Senegal) is a food substance, which is the product of the acacia tree, which is abundant in tropical regions and is found especially in Sudan, the largest producer in the world. It is famous for its gum known as (Hashab).

Alfalfa

Alfalfa is a perennial legume with triangular leaves and flowers between blue and violet. It belongs to the family Fabaceae (the family of peas and beans). It is one of the most important forage crops in the world. Alfalfa is a natural source of nitrogen, as it hosts symbiotic soil bacteria (rhizobia) in root nodules that “fix” (bind and deposit) nitrogen from the air into the soil. Thus, it makes nitrogen available to other plants.

Straw

Rhodes

Silage

Silage is a green fodder that has been preserved through the fermentation process in a silo. It is used for livestock as an easy to digest and high nutritional value feed.
Preserving green fodder through silage has special advantages compared to drying. Silage fodder has nutritional value as it is green in color, its moisture is natural, and it is healthy and contains a lot of vitamins because it is closer to the fresh fodder that was taken from it.

It is one of the oldest and most important cereal crops, and is considered a essential food all over the world. Wheat is also used as livestock feed.

Sorghum

Sorghum or sorghum is considered one of the important food and fodder crops for its uses in feeding the livestock sector as grains with concentrates or as green fodder and in the silage industry
